The Atelier

Stitched in Lahore. Worn worldwide.

Paw Mahal is a luxury Pakistani pet couture house based in Lahore, Pakistan, hand-stitching kurtis, frocks and lehengas for dogs and cats.

Our story

Paw Mahal started in 2024 in a small studio behind Lahore's old city, when our founder — a lifelong Shih Tzu mama — couldn't find a single kurti that fit her dog for Eid. So she walked her measurements down to the bridal karigars her family had worked with for three generations, and asked them to try. The result: a jet-black paisley kurti that fit like it was made for a prince. Paw Mahal was born from that first stitch.

Where we are

Our atelier is in Lahore, Pakistan. Every piece is cut, embroidered and finished on the same block where our karigars usually stitch bridal jorras. We ship across Pakistan — from Karachi to Islamabad, Faisalabad to Peshawar — and take international orders to the UAE, UK and Canada on request.

What we make

Paw Mahal designs and manufactures luxury Pakistani-style outfits for pets: kurtis for male dogs, frocks and gowns for female dogs, and lehengas and daydresses for cats. Every piece is made-to-order in sizes XS through L, with custom sizing available on request. We currently offer seven signature pieces named for characters they evoke — Mirza, Neela, Gulabi, Nazneen, Jamani, Saat Rang and Sarson — with new drops each Eid and shaadi season.

Materials & craftsmanship

We use pet-safe fabrics only: lawn cotton, cotton-linen blends, raw silk, tulle and net. Every piece is lined with soft cotton wherever it touches skin. Embellishments are hand-stitched — zardozi, sequin work, gold zari piping — using the same techniques applied to human bridal wear, scaled down for four-legged wearers. No harsh dyes, no scratchy zips, no glue-on beadwork.

Who makes it

Paw Mahal is stitched by a small team of Lahori karigars — master craftspeople whose families have practised zardozi and hand-embroidery for generations. Every karigar is paid a fair wage per piece, not per stitch, and works from our own atelier — never a subcontracted line. We believe couture for pets should be held to the same craft standards as couture for people.
